Car Rush: two keys, one highway, no brakes
Car Rush is the purest form of the traffic-racer: the car never slows down, the road never ends, and the only decision you make is which lane to be in half a second from now. CodeThisLab built it for the browser in HTML5 and it shows — it starts in a couple of seconds, runs at full speed on a school Chromebook and needs nothing but the arrow keys. The night-time skyline scrolling past is more scenery than most runners bother with.
This copy is hosted on carrush.org itself, so it loads when you press Play without an outside frame or an ad gate. Your best distance and coin total are kept in this browser. Nothing installs, no account is asked for, and a run lasts about as long as your nerve.
Controls & Mechanics
| Action | Control | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Change lane | Left / Right arrow or A / D | Hold to drift across; release to straighten |
| Touch | Tap the left or right half of the screen | Same lane change on a phone or tablet |
| Pause / sound | Buttons top-left and top-right | Sound toggles without pausing the run |
Getting further
- Look two cars ahead, not one: Traffic is spawned in lanes; if the far lane is empty, start moving early rather than reacting at the bumper.
- Coins are not worth a crash: A coin row that ends behind a lorry is a trap. Distance scores more than coins once the speed builds.
- Stay off the outside lanes at speed: From the middle you can go either way; from the edge you have one option and the game knows it.
Key Features
- Instant restart: One key to retry. The loop between crash and next run is a second long.
- Speed that keeps climbing: The car accelerates with distance, so every run turns into a reflex test eventually.
- Hosted here: The game is served from carrush.org, not embedded from a third-party ad frame.
